Wonderful small and homely hotel located so close to Gardens saving parking, and local attractions. Main bar, well laid out and beautifully maintained room with a massive comfy bed, large bathroom and coffee making facilities. Particularly good and fab location close to the centre of Alnwick, and 15 minute walk from a medieval castle.

Really had really nice stay for our short visit to the town. Clean hotel in a really comfortable building near a roundabout, the town centre, and Alnwick. Stunning and decent location, in own garden. Again, 15 minutes walk from Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery.

The oaks was very well located just a short walk to the town centre. The room had a massive bed, a delight! The breakfast offered a nice combination of cooked options and a buffet with fresh fruit and croissants.

The radiator settings were finicky, causing the room to feel stifling upon arrival. While we eventually cooled it down, the initial heat made it a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant environment felt chilly during breakfast, affecting the dining experience. Some meals lacked the quality expected, with variability in taste and freshness that was disappointing.

Had a lovely time with a super clean room and a hearty breakfast that hit the spot! The garden area was perfect for relaxing, and I also appreciated having the bar nearby to unwind after a long day. Just a heads up, the bedside outlet situation could use some improvement, but it didn't impact my stay at all. 😊

The location is perfect for exploring some great spots, like the beautiful gardens and local pubs. We loved hanging out in our quadruple room while catching up on our favourite shows on Freeview TV. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was solid. Highly recommend staying here for a chilled group getaway.
The only downside was that the coffee at the bar was not up to par , a bit disappointing.

Recommend it for family getaways
The breakfast was amazing with staff even bringing our little Jack Russel his own sausage. The staff made a safe place for our bags when we had a car emergency and recommended local garages so we could sort it out quickly.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for the quality we got.
